Schools are bombarded with advertising every day from companies trying to sell them new and innovative things which will benefit their pupils, staff or PTAs.
We are fairly certain about this because pretty much every day, we get a call from some magazine or other asking us to place an advert in their publication which is apparently read by every teacher in the known universe. The usual response is to ask said company to send us a copy of their magazine for us to ask some local teachers whether they have in fact heard or read the magazine being touted.
Most of the time these companies will never send out their publication and the couple that once did were not recognised by any teachers we asked. As a result we decided that spending thousands of pounds to advertise in such publications was quite probably a waste of time. So as a result we try to enable schools to find us on the web and through word of mouth recommendations from the many schools we have worked with in the past.

At Record my School we like to do things differently. We know that schools not only have many constraints on their budgets but also that PTAs generally don’t have as much money as they would like. This can make it hard when you want to do something unique and creative for your pupils.
If you record a CD with Record my School, firstly there are no up front costs. More importantly, there is no charge for the recording session either. All you pay for are the CDs you wish to order. What’s the catch? There is no catch, all we ask is that all your pupils take part in the recording and that you give all parents an opportunity to buy a CD.

We believe that you are only as good as your last job. By following this motto we can ensure we only ever produce our best work. Every customer is different but most importantly every customer matters. Recording a School CD is a very special event for all the schools we work with. And it’s not just the recording day itself. The teachers and pupils will have put in a lot of effort and time in to preparing for the recording day in advance of us turning up. Songs will have been learnt and artwork competitions run to design the front cover. All in all, there is often a lot of hype in advance of the recording.
Therefore we need to get it right! Everything needs to just work and the experience of recording a CD needs to be something the pupils and teachers will remember for all the right reasons. Whilst we don’t like to blow our own trumpet, we have many years experience recording in schools and we put our money where our mouth is by putting up audio samples online for you to listen to.
