We are only too aware of the importance of security within Schools nowadays. Although it is curious how many different approaches we see to this in primary schools across the country.
Over the last few weeks, we had been busy recording CDs, predominantly in primary schools before the end of the school year. The different approaches to security range from not being asked to sign in at all through to sending copies of our DBS and company insurance in advance of the session so we can verify who we are!
We don’t mind which option a school choose to adopt although it is quite curious just how wide ranging the security requirements are at schools. Some prop the gates open all day, some have CCTV, computer controlled gates and barbed wire at the top of the fences! Others we just sign in and are given a badge – sometimes we have to be photographed on entry and provide copies of our photo ID – driving licence etc.
All our engineers carry photo ID with them but if you need to see original copies of DBS clearances or you need copies of the company insurance please do let us know so our engineers can bring this documentation with them on the day of your recording.
